Broulee and Mossy Point are adjoining south-coast communities shaped by beach, estuary and headland. Visit NSW Broulee guidance (opens in a new tab) highlights the coast, Broulee Island and the connection through to Mossy Point.

Broulee Beach is a long, protected sandy beach on the NSW coast. The NSW Government beach page (opens in a new tab) lists public facilities and notes that the island provides a protective backdrop, but water conditions should always be assessed on the day.

The Broulee Island Nature Reserve walk (opens in a new tab) is a four-kilometre return, moderate walk accessed via the sandbar and beach route. It is not wheelchair-accessible, so choose the route and conditions to suit the group.

At Mossy Point, the Anchor Lookout (opens in a new tab) has views across the Tomaga River, Mossy Point and Broulee, with an anchor memorial linked to earlier navigation. It is a useful short stop rather than a substitute for checking water and weather conditions.

Before visiting the reserve, check NPWS local alerts (opens in a new tab) for closures, fires or other changes. Respect coastal wildlife and use established paths.
